Arlington, Virginia (September 5, 2002) – August 1, 2002 marked Robert Slye Electronics, Inc.'s 42nd year of excellence in digital media expertise, design and installation.
On August 1, 1960, Robert and Bette Slye began Robert Slye Electronics, Inc. in Washington, DC. "Sound By Slye" provided audio systems for large events in the nations capital and soon expanded to provide video systems and, in the 1990s, control systems. Since the beginning, Slye has strived to provide the highest standards of customer service while designing and installing innovative digital media systems.
Recently William Beecher, Vice President of Marketing said "It has been an honor to work for this company for so long and to watch continual growth year after year while advancing into new markets utilizing the newest technologies." Slye has recently expanded into the Custom Home market and has expanded its headquarters to provide four times the previous space for project staging and testing. Reflecting upon the company's 42 year history, Bette Slye said "It has been a pleasure to see the company grow and to have family and friends join and enhance our business. Bob [Robert Slye] would have been thrilled to see the expansion and would have enjoyed the new addition to the building."
